Or course this area is the most crowded, especially during the winter and spring months. But is you want to stay close to the action, but not in the middle of it, get to El Centro for some great historic hotels, bed and breakfasts, as well as budget motels and inns. You won't be right on the ocean, so the prices are even less expensive, and you're still within minutes of the waves.
